Great Move Chess Academy began in 2015 with a simple conviction: chess rewards the same qualities that serve people everywhere — patience, honest self-assessment, and the willingness to think one move further than feels comfortable.

What started with a small group of students has grown into a structured academy running beginner through advanced programmes, both in person in Visakhapatnam and online. The format has changed over the years; the approach has not. We still teach in small batches, still build each player's plan around where they actually are, and still measure success by how well a student thinks — not just what they score.
